About 95% of opals are mined in a very small town in Australia’s outback. The town of 1700 people is Coober Pedy. It’s amazing how one small town can distribute so much beauty throughout the world. Australian aborigines have legends claiming the Creator came to Earth on a rainbow to bring the message of peace. The spot his foot touched the ground, became alive and was the birth of the Opal. There is no way we can create an Opal bank with all of its color intricacies. This color is our best attempt.
